Vanessa Tynes-Jass
Managing Lawyer
Vanessa Jass, called to the Bar in both Nova Scotia and Ontario, is a mentor, coach, author, and international and award winning public speaker. With over 20 years of experience practicing real estate and family law, and operating her own firms, Vanessa brings her knowledge, skills, and experience to the table. Vanessa took over the operations for Margaret Black in October 2019 and has worked hard to serve Margaret's existing clients well.

Anub Simson
Associate Lawyer
Anub Simson is an associate lawyer with Black Law Office and has a broad practice which encompasses residential real estate, commercial real estate, wills and estates, probate and corporate law. Anub completed his undergraduate degree at York University and received his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University – Cooley Law School. Anub is an excellent lawyer who will deliver the best results for your legal needs.
In addition to his practice, Anub has always been passionate about his community, the environmental well-being of our planet, and ensuring that we leave behind a better planet for our future generations. As a result, Anub is involved in many activities that will benefit our communities. Anub is the Councillor for Ward 1 in the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio, where he also sits on the Audit Committee. He is also part of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). The TRCA administers a large amount of land in the Greater Toronto Region for flood control, recreation, education and watershed preservation activities, including drinking water source protection. Anub is also a member of the Board of Directors of Contact Community Services, a non-profit service organization which provides access to vital services for residents in the South Simcoe area. The organization provides housing supports, employment services, community engagement programs, and volunteer opportunities, as well as access to gently used clothing and household items at “The Clothes Line” thrift stores in Alliston and Bradford West Gwillimbury.
In his free time, Anub enjoys travelling and playing sports, especially soccer.
